Finland's circular economy is full of value waiting for someone to build around it — material streams with no good outlet, industrial assets standing idle, demand with no supplier. Kanto Systems is a project development company: we find these opportunities, build the case, and coordinate the partners, technology and financing that turn them into working plants.
Focus areas
Industry needs raw materials and energy that don't depend on virgin, fossil-based inputs. We develop projects on both fronts.
Finnish industry uses roughly 600,000 tonnes of plastics every year, according to the Finnish Plastics Industry Federation — and less than a tenth of that demand is met with recycled material, even as EU regulation turns recycled content and traceability into binding requirements. We develop the value chains that turn plastic streams into verified, specification-grade recycled raw materials buyers can actually rely on.
Forest and agricultural residues hold more value than burning them for heat alone. We develop plants that convert biomass into higher-value products — renewable energy carriers, carbon products and industrial raw materials — anchored in real regional feedstock and real regional demand.
What we do
